Caño Cristales é um rio na Colômbia que ficou conhecido como "Arco-íris Líquido" ou "O rio que fugiu do paraíso". Devido às águas cristalinas e sem peixes, é possível ver as pedras, areia e todas as algas coloridas que existem ali, assim como a planta Macarenia clavigera, que possui um forte tom de vermelho; infelizmente, o fenômeno ocorre apenas uma vez por ano e durante um curto período, quando as águas estão mais calmas e com um nível suficiente para manter a vida ali; não é possível chegar de carro até o rio, que já foi fechado uma vez para preservação mas está aberto novamente a visitação.

Caño Cristales is a river in Colombia that became known as "Liquid Rainbow" or "the river that ran away from paradise". Due to the crystal clear waters, it is possible to see the stones, sand and all the colorful algae that exist there, like the plant Macarenia clavigera, which has a strong shade of red, also there are no fish in the river. Unfortunately, the phenomenon occurs only once a year and for a short period, when the waters are calmer and with a sufficient level to sustain life in there; it is not possible to get to the river by car, and has already been closed once for preservation but is open to visitors again.
