Borboleta preta alpina de cauda / Alpine Black Swallowtail (Papilio maackii)

Borboleta preta alpina de cauda (Papilio maackii) encontrada no Japão, China e Coreia do Sul; medindo cerca de 14 cm de envergadura da asa, essas borboletas negras possuem escamas verde fosforescentes, que brilham intensamente no sol, e há presença de dimorfismo sexual, sendo que a fêmea possui desenhos vermelhos nas escamas no canto das asas.

Alpine Black Swallowtail (Papilio maackii) found in Japan, China and South Korea; measuring about 5 inches of wingspan, these dark butterflies have green phosphorescent scales that shine brightly in the sun, and there is the presence of sexual dimorphism: the female has red designs on the scales on the tip of the wings.
