FLOR SAIÃO-NEGRA / BLACK FLOWER (AEONIUM ‘CYCLOPS’)

Flor saião-negra conhecida como Aeonium ‘Cyclops’, uma híbrida resultante do cruzamento das plantas ‘Aeonium undulatum’ com ‘Aeonium arboreum’, criada pelo horticulturista californiano Jack Catlin. Florescem no verão e têm várias cores, sendo bem verde no centro, com bordas que vão do vermelho ao preto/roxo. Apesar de ser comunmente chamada de flor, essas partes pretas da suculentas são as folhas modificadas, e as verdadeiras flores são pequeninas e não aparecem na foto.
Black flower houseleek tree known as Aeonium ‘Cyclops’, a hybrid resulting from the crossing of the plants ‘Aeonium undulatum’ with ‘Aeonium arboreum’, created by Californian horticulturist Jack Catlin. They bloom in the summer and have several colors and very green in the center, with edges that go from red to black/purple. Although it is commonly called flower, these black parts of succulents are modified leaves and the true flowers are tiny and are not showing on the photo.
