Blue starfish (Linckia laevigata) found in Pacific and Indian Oceans, close to Polynesia in waters with temperatures between 22ºC to 26ºC. They feed on small vertebrates, digging in the sand at the bottom and reverse their stomach, starting the digestion of food before swallow; they are solitary animals and extremely sensitive to climate change and acidity of the water. Without the presence of a brain, they guide themselves through high sensitivity to light and touch.
