 Peixe-remo (Regalecus glesne), considerado o maior peixe ósseo do mundo, podendo chegar até 12 metros de comprimento,pode habitar águas de profundidades de mais de mil metros. Antigamentre era acredito ser um monstro marinho, devido seu tamanho e o fato de ser raramente visto; ele se alimenta de pequenos peixes e seu principal predador é o tubarão. Ainda é um animal muito misterioso para a ciência, por não ser muito avistado

 Giant Oarfish (Regalecus glesne) considered the world's largest bony fish, can reach up to 39 ft. in length, inhabits waters with depths over 3,281 ft. Formerly, it was believed to be a sea monster because of its size and the fact that it is rarely seen; it feeds on small fish and their main predator is the shark. Is still a mystery to science, for the fact that is not much seen.
