Lago Verde: uma floresta submersa! / Green Lake: submerged forest

Uma árvore submersa, como isso é possível? O Lago Verde, na Áustria, é uma atração para mergulho devido sua "floresta submersa". Durante o inverno, o lago (conhecido como Grüner See) tem no máximo dois metros de profundidade, e muitas pessoas vão passear, aproveitar à margem do lago e se sentar nos bancos para apreciar a vista das montanhas Karst; porém durante a primavera, a neve em volta derrete fazendo o lago inundar e chegar a ter doze metros de profundidade, alagando o parque e as árvores que existem em volta. O parque passa então a ser muito frequentado por mergulhadores, que são atraídos pela águas límpidas.

A submerged tree, how is this possible? The Green Lake, in Austria, is an attraction for diving because of its "submerged forest". During the winter, the lake (known as Grüner See) is up to six feet deep, and many people will walk around and enjoy the lake shore, siting on the benches to enjoy the view of the Karst mountains; but during the spring, snow of the mountains melts and the lake floods and reach about twelve thirty-nine feet deep, flooding the park and the trees that are around. The park then becomes much frequented by divers, who are attracted by the clear waters.
