Conheça Quizai, um raríssimo Panda Gigante marrom (
Ailuropoda melanoleuca qinlingensis), uma subespécie encontrada apenas em uma região específica na China. Desde 1985, quando o primeiro panda assim foi avistado, apenas sete outros indivíduos foram confirmados, embora estima-se que exista uma colônia de cerca de 300 pandas marrons na região de Qinling, na China. Eles variam entre amarelo escuro e marrom, aos mais "comuns" que teriam apenas manchas marrons no corpo. Acredita-se que seja o resultado de uma mutação genética juntamente com uma alimentação diferenciada. Quizai é o único indivíduo vivendo em cativeiro.

Meet Quizai a rare Giant Brown Panda (
Ailuropoda melanoleuca qinlingensis), a subspecies found only in a specific region in China. Since 1985, when the first one was sighted, only seven other individuals were confirmed, although it is estimated that there is a colony of around 300 brown pandas in Qinling region, in China. They range from brown and dark yellow, and the more "common" that would only have brown patches on the body. It is believed to be the result of a genetic mutation with a different diet. Quizai is the only individual living in captivity.
