FLOR SAIÃO-NEGRA / BLACK FLOWER (AEONIUM ‘CYCLOPS’)

Flor saião-negra conhecida como Aeonium ‘Cyclops’, uma híbrida resultante do cruzamento das plantas ‘Aeonium undulatum’ com ‘Aeonium arboreum’, criada pelo horticulturista californiano Jack Catlin. Florescem no verão e têm várias cores, sendo bem verde no centro, com bordas que vão do vermelho ao preto/roxo. Apesar de ser comunmente chamada de flor, essas partes pretas da suculentas são as folhas modificadas, e as verdadeiras flores são pequeninas e não aparecem na foto.

They bloom in the summer and have several colors and very green in the center, with edges that go from red to black/purple. Although it is commonly called flower, these black parts of succulents are modified leaves and the true flowers are tiny and are not showing on the photo.
